Temple of Abstract Thought
A small guild dedicated solely to the advancement of philosophical thought, including a strange system the philosopher’s call “science.” The Abstracts were founded sometime in the 63rd century by the human Melyorin Sephim, formerly a wizard with the Mage’s Guild (a divination wizard, in fact) who became interested in non-magical means of gathering data. Since then, the Philosopher’s Guild has garnered a mere average of 150 members at any time, from all of the races, who study what they call the “philosophical language,” which is a language of numbers and equations.
Guild members have been called traitors and heathens, and the Temple itself had to relocate five times since its inception, due to numerous threats and various arson attempts (two of which succeeded). They now reside in an abandoned church on the western outskirts of Desek.
